    (Already on Drudge)

Can we take a moment to appreciate how much potential there is today? Iran and the US talking and moving both countries forward without the need for another war. Cuba and the US perhaps ending the mini cold war which has only made both countries poorer. The US set to exit from Afghanistan. US states slowly ending the war on drugs. A minimal but not insignificant safety net for health insurance.

Extreme poverty in the world could be ended in 2 decades. The world literacy rate is at 80%. The average life expectancy of the entire world at 70+ years of age. The US as the top producer of energy in the world. Solar power within the reach of marketability without the need for tax subsidies.

Salient points. We, Ourselves believe poverty could be eradicated in less than a decade if those who hold vast amounts of wealth would invest it in Human Beings who seek to have better lives and contribute to the progress of the species rather than idols of corporate personhood who generate poverty as waste.

So who or what is preventing this from happening?

Preventing the thawing of US-Cuba relationships? Old Cold Warriors.

Preventing better US-Iranian relationships? Crazies in 3 countries

The exit of the US from Afghanistan? Time is probably needed for stability.

The end of the War on Drugs? Nannies in both parties, mostly old people

Extreme Poverty from being ended sooner? Mostly time, a needed decrease in infant mortality has occurred, stability in governments is coming, trust that hard work won’t be stolen is slow. No charity is needed and even rural Africa will pull itself out of poverty in 2+ decades just like China did.

Keeping Solar from becoming more relevant? Time and people willing to take small risks also some new scheme needs to be worked out so electric companies can’t say they are bearing unreasonable risks of the grid infrastructure.

Thanks bardolf. I needed that. I’m simply amazed at the crap the right is still trying to sell. It reminds me of the massacre scene in Little Big Man.

It is a bit difficult to look at isn’t it?

My god yes. These humanoids are despicable. And breathtakingly stupid. They are having a collective pants shitting because the President of the United States has the humanity to shake Raul Castro’s hand. An act of grace and humility that occurred at one of the largest gatherings of world leaders in modern times to honor a 95 yr old man who dedicated his life to human rights. A man whom after his release from prison had his jailers sit in the front row of his inauguration. And yet they see this as an opportunity to throw feces and declare that our President is a socialist. If he is, he’s a failure at it. Maybe someone needs to remind them that McCain shook Gaddafi’s claw, Rumsfeld Saddam Hussein’s, Nixon shook the mother of them all Mao, and the object of their wet dreams Reagan was pals with Gorbachev. Lets not forget our ex president as artist GWB bowed and scraped to the Saudis’.
Words are not descriptive enough to express the awfulness of these racist motherfuckers.

All points are taken well. It is the “death throes” of rationality on the Conservative side. Forward those emails to us and we’ll have our lawyers see if they are actionable and get back to you.

        Your friend in the struggle,

Michelle Malkin has decided to steal Mark Noonan’s idea of make/mine/build and publish a book whose working title is “Who Built That” -the topic is America’s unsung tinker-preneuers.

One thing you have to give Mark, he isn’t selling out a la Palin/Malkin.

“One thing you have to give Mark, he isn’t selling out a la Palin/Malkin.”

Well, you can’t sell out if nobody’s buying.

I see that Malkin’s book is being published by Glenn Beck’s imprint. That is pretty funny–whole lotta intellectual rigor there!–but not as funny as the fact that they’re trying to reanimate an old-and-cold talking point that flopped the first time around. I guess they know their audience always likes to hear the oldies.

Every time I see Malkin, she reminds me of one of those Ralph Steadman drawings. Cross eyed, lips pursed face disfigured.

        M. –
I was going to say the same thing. Mark’s written two ridiculous books that flopped. He’s tried to sell out, but just failed. The only thing you have to give Mark is that he’s a shitty author.
