“We ARE Hypocrites”

29 Sep

Here’s something you don’t expect to find from the we-hate-Obama crowd: introspection.

For five years we’ve been subjected to a non-stop barrage of innuendo, conspiracy theories and hatred directed at Barack Obama from what Steve Schmidt recently dubbed “the freak show.” The website Blogs For Victory has been a breeding ground for this kind of nonsense ever since President Obama became a serious presidential candidate in early 2008.

So it was with great surprise to read this morning the musings of B4V regular, Amazona, who finally admits that their behavior has been driven by a desire to, in her words, “bring [Obama] down even if it meant inventing something to do so.” Of course, the only reason she’s compelled to fess up now is that she fears that it could all be thrown back in their faces.

Here’s Amazona:

There was a lot of fuss, regarding Obama, for a long time—–something which still rises to the surface every now and then. For years I dismissed it as tinfoil-hat stuff, but some of the blog posters sent me enough links to enough compelling information to make me realize that they not only had a valid point they were probably right. And this is the definition of Natural Born Citizen.

Now, whether or not this IS a valid point, whether or not the definition IS one of a person born to citizens or at least whose father was a citizen at the time of birth, that is only one aspect of this. The other, and the one that will bring down Jindal, or Rubio, or Cruz, is that we made a big fuss about it, tried to use it to disqualify Obama, AND ARE NOW PRETENDING THAT IT NEVER EXISTED.

I think the Left is so eager to have us nominate one of these guys they are tingling with anticipation, because we would be handing them the entirely accurate claim that we are not only just a bunch of hypocrites, we were so biased against Obama all we wanted to do was bring him down even if it meant inventing something to do so. The nomination and support of any of these fine men would solidify the image of Obama as victim of racism and hatred, and would be based on the ugly truth that we ARE hypocrites.

She goes on to say that “Congress or SCOTUS or whatever legal authority is appropriate” should decide this issue now, once and for all, though she adds, “I don’t care which way the ruling would go.”

She doesn’t care? About a clause in the United States Constitution? In the document about which she once said the authors “agonized over every word, every phrase, every implication in every statement they included”? Over an issue in which she admits she has “come to see the wisdom in what I believe was the intent of the Founders”? After years of carrying on about how she’s a strict constitutional conservative?

Isn’t it amusing to observe the ease with which so-called constitutional conservatives pick and choose which parts of the Constitution matter to them and which ones don’t.

Now Amazona worries that by nominating Bobby Jindel, Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz, “we are going to repeat history and make a colossal blunder that will undermine our candidacy and add to the perception, created and advanced by the Left, that the Right is dishonest.” No Amazona. The perception will have been created and advanced by the right all by itself, courtesy your pals at The Freak Show.

You had it right the first time. Being a hypocrite is indeed an “ugly truth.”

I was also struck by her comment. Her problem now is that she must either reject Jindel, Rubio, and Cruz or risk being called out for being a hypocrite. The same goes for all of the other birthers who have questioned Obama’s citizenship over the last six years. This is one time I agree with her 100%.

It reminds of me of bullies. They bully and bully until the tables are turned, then they cry, “be cool, be cool!”

As I read it, watson, Amazona is planning to continue being a bully — she intends to rip to shreds anyone who favors Bobby Jindel, Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. And while that could be quite entertaining, the real irony is that her stand is based on her very curious interpretation of the 14th Amendment of her beloved Constitution. As Mark pointed out, since the 14th Amendment was passed, the SC’s interpretation has always been that “if you are born in the United States, you are a citizen of the United States. True, the 14th doesn’t say you are a “natural born citizen”, but it doesn’t really have to – its redundant to say that.”

She has a lot of curious interpretations. She has a tendency to interpret the constitution to fit whatever she wants it to fit.

Exactly Casper. Likewise, she only has patience with the SC when they rule the way she wants them to rule. And the fact that the SC refuses to rule again on a 14th Amendment issue they have consistently opined was settled by the 14th Amendment has her panties in a particular bunch.

Or as Jim Carey said in The Mask. “It must have been the one armed man!”
They’ve backed themselves into a corner and like all cowards are looking for a way out. This hateful lunatic woman is a birther and now she suddenly sees the light? Give me a break. Neither Cruz, Jindal or Rubio will ever win the Republican nomination. In 2016 those folks will be ancient history.

By attacking Obama for not being American, they are eliminating their own people from running. While I don’t consider any of the three to have a great chance, they are some of their stronger choices.

Well, they still say he’s “not American,” but they try not to talk about birth when doing so.

Watson hit a nerve by repeating Amazona’s words verbatim. Then she put on her contortionists costume and tried to deflect. To separate her very being from what her being said out of fear and a recognition of the inevitable spotlight that will be cast upon the abject hypocrisy of those who question the legitimacy…by birth… of the sitting President. I don’t know about the birth place of Jindal or Rubio but Cruz was born in Canada. A foreign country. His BC states as such. Amazona is a mentally disturbed and emotionally retarded woman. She has a bright mind and superior vocabulary skills but uses them to excoriate all those that oppose her. She is obsessive and claims to a teeny tiny group that she is the smartest person on the planet. My question is, why doesn’t she run for office? Instead of referring to blogs such as this as “losers” or conjure up images of Star Wars, why won’t she take the Ted Cruz approach?
I’ll tell you why, she’s a narcissistic coward who knows nothing about the reality of politics. Her arguments are purely academic. Maybe she’d be better of teaching a Poly-Sci class instead of lecturing dead eyed idiots.
How about it Amazona? Put you money where your fat mouth is. The resentment you have for this blog and others like it is palpable. Want to know why? Because like you said, you have no control.

        Did you catch this:
“casper. I got an email about a little mutual butt-sniffing between you and the wattle over on the dark side. Why don’t you stand up on your hind legs and tell us what you posted over there about my post? Afraid of the explanation you would get that would, once again, identify you as a craven coward and liar?”

Why would someone email her about what is being said on this blog? Why should she care? For the fun of it I reposted my comments from this blog over there. In the future, I’ll just post a link. Also, I see what you mean by the constant references to animal behavior.

The references to animal behavior is a tactic she uses to denigrate people. For someone who supposedly makes a living in animal husbandry, she certainly has no respect for them. Funny how it’s referred to as “husbandry”.
As far as her claim of getting emails my money is on her being a follower. A month ago Cluster said she got on his case about this blog and needed to “control” me.

Definitely post a link, not the words, Casper. That would call her out.

“Parting is such sweet sorrow” or so the saying goes.

I have never believed that. For example, I had no sorrow when I parted B4V nor do i have any sorrow now that I am parting ways with All Polytics Now.

    I did not belong there
    do I belong here.

And I agree. Don’t feel alienated GMB. An exploration of perspective isn’t an attack on one’s humanity.

not sure why GMB is leaving but that is sad. She did start attacking this blog for whatever reason and thinks this site is for people who do not want to share opinions but believe the same crap. It is kind of funny when you think of blogs for victory and think they actually discuss real things. What is scary is for people who love this country and love this nation they want another revolution to fix it. Mark going on about the decline of this nation since the 60s and now it is in total decline. What is decline anyway? That we are not the world’s policeman or not the strongest army in the world? I wish. I wish we would work harder to produce more apple, facebooks, SAPs and microsofts(wish they paid taxes). That is my two cents. i hope cluster still post here because it is interesting to hear his opinion even if i do not agree with him.

Apparently Amazona doesn’t like being called a birther. It gets her worked up. Of course she is and has been for some time.
