We’re NY and Tired the laugably rascally varmint killer is Texas.

05 Sep

With monotonous regularity the same tired phrases are used to express an empty  head. Devoid of ideas and originality but still capable of lying to himself about others. Or is it herself? Thankfully, we’ll be spared knowing! Enjoy Tired, this is dedicated to you. So glad you are an anti-fan. And while you are checking, lets compare size. Isn’t that your measure of manhood?

Wow, tired is really asshurt, isn’t he? It’s hilarious that he said this:

They can’t debate without resorting to deflection, personal attacks, constant harranging [sic] and throwing hissy fits when they lose.

about other people and not himself. That’s Amazona-level projection right there. You can see it from outer space.

I almost feel sorry for the poor guy. He struggles with language skills, and he seems genuinely slow and generally clueless, which is probably what feeds both his cowardice and his overcompensation for said cowardice. He knows he doesn’t stand a chance in a debate–he’s certainly gotten his ass kicked every time on B4V–but he sure wants to pretend that he does.

I’d invite him to come on over here and give debate a try, but he’s too frightened to do that. Amazona isn’t here to protect him by deleting all those mean posts that prove him wrong, nor can he delete all those mean posts that prove him wrong. Absent those protections, he’d have to actually make and defend an argument, and by all appearances, he lacks the capability to do those things. Oh well.

Thanks for your response. It means a lot to me to know that I’m not alone in this. Notice how he said afraid in his ignorant, repetitive tirade. He and the rest of them should look into a mirror for it is they who are afraid, hence the wholesale deletion of any and all counter arguments. If he needs to turn into a Puffer Fish to prove how much of a man he is, how smart he is and how cowering we are, so be it. The truth is self evident.
I can guarantee you that not one of them will ever be allowed to comment here. Every single email address that they have has been flagged and they are stopped at the castle gates. The sword cuts both ways.
They are an inconsequential, small minded group of sycophants who rail against modernity and most of the nation. I know they are scratching their collective heads in bewilderment as to why Cluster and I started this blog. Amazona in particular tried to wave her magic wand in his face only to be rebuffed. Told him that he needed to “control” me. The use of that word says it all about this woman. A pathological need for control. And this from a person who uses terms that describe animal behavior as pejoratives to mock and demean anyone and everyone with whom she feels superior to. Which is just about anybody.
Sucks to be them, but what goes around comes around. If you consistently treat people like shit eventually you are drenched by a shit storm. And the storm has cometh.
Good luck with a continued following B4V’ers. You’ve run off most of your ardent respondents. What you have left are the dead-enders. The Japanese who don’t know the war is over and that they lost. This blog, in contrast is growing by leaps and bounds because we welcome heated debate, not supress it. We are Brave-Hearts, B4V’ers are authoritarian cowards who cannot tolerate dissent, demand uniformity and fear a challenge. In a way it’s sad. When they first started they had a big following. If they had been more receptive to other view points, they could have been one of the more popular blogs. Instead they took a defensive position, mixed in the most extreme elements of the fanatical right and ran all except the most strident off.

      Mitche,
I was surprised you created a post for such a minor character as Tired. I didn’t think he is worth it.

      Tired,
Since I know you are reading this, I’ll make you a deal. Since you can’t post here, if you make a decent and original argument on B4V, I’ll repost it here.

He’s not, but my outrage sometimes gets the better of my reasoned judgment. In other words, gnats infuriate me.

Remember mitche, you’re much smarter than the average gnat. So you don’t need to stoop to blood sucking. The occasional swat will do. And that brings me to this:

I can guarantee you that not one of them will ever be allowed to comment here.

Oh, that is SO wrong-headed! IMO, what you need are rules centered on content and decorum, NOT individuals. I get the anger part, and I’m still working through it. But try to be more of a Nelson Mandela than a Robert Mugabe.

Well, as you probably know there are very few rules here. I’d like to think that it’s our tone that sets us apart. There is no meanness expressed here.
And much like it’s delusional to expect a pint to hold a quart, one cannot reason with unreasonable people. It’s futile to engage in debate about any subject with them. No amount of magical thinking on their part is going to change the spars and bulkheads of factual reality and so with the absence of reason, the tactic becomes a critique of ones character.
I will not engage in a debate with willfully unreasonable people who at the slightest challenge become hyper defensive. There is a difference between ignorance and willful stupidity. Ignorance can be tolerated for awhile because it’s just a matter of either being uninformed or misinformed but when the ignorant refuse to process rational, reasonable information they are as useless as a missprogramed calculator. No matter how many times you input 2+2=? and you get back 18, the calculator takes a one way trip into the trash.
I came across a blog that I’ve added to our blog roll. It’s called Stonekettle Station and the operator, Jim Wright was kind enough to give me permission to quote him occasionally. Below are his thoughts but they mirror mine. Thanks Jim for letting me publish this.

Advice to Bloggers: each week I get mail from folks who want to start a political blog or who run political blogs and want to know how I deal with trolls, jerks, idiots, assholes, haters, baiters, cranks, lunks, skunks, and the various and sundry lunatics who inevitably show up in such places.

I would think that by now how I deal with these people should be obvious: I don’t.

Each week, I also get mail from folks concerned or angry about the Draconian way in which I handle comments here on Stonekettle Station.

Usually these messages are from people who acted like a screechy poo flinging monkey and got their comment deleted. However, sometimes these message are from concerned readers who seem to think that in the interest of “fairness” I should allow and even encourage the deranged monkeys to fling their crap on Stonekettle Station.

You want to see shit flinging? Go to the zoo.

It’s not my job to fix the jackasses.

I’m not the government. I’m not required to respect the bullshit arbitrary edicts of some ridiculous Neolithic religion, or the bullshit arbitrary edicts of extremist politics, or crazy conspiracy theories, or slack-jawed booger-eating stupidity, or deliberate ignorance, or raging incoherent hate.

I’m under no obligation, expressed or implied, to allow the screechy monkeys a platform to fling shit from – especially at me.

    Unfair?

    Yeah, so?

Learn how to behave. Learn how to reason. Learn how to act like adult. Learn how to disagree without being a dick. Learn how to walk upright and shower and talk without spitting at people, learn how to write, learn how to frame a logical argument, learn how to spell, learn how to use words in the proper context. Learn how to take ownership of your opinion instead of just flinging some other brain damaged baboon’s dirty shit at me.

You want respect? Then you’ve got to give respect in the first place. That’s how it works around here.

These are good rules for life in general, not just for the internet.

Oh, yes, one other thing: if your deity doesn’t like how I do things, he’s welcome to tell me himself in person (providing he presents proper identification. Cash in small bills, no checks), I won’t entertain any self-appointed middleman. Try it, and I’ll turn the hose you.

Folks, say it with me: You cannot reason with unreasonable people.

You cannot reason with unreasonable people.

You cannot reason with people who are determined to be jackasses, attempting to do so will give you stomach cancer. I don’t want cancer, that’s why I quit smoking. Arguing with an Internet troll is the equivalent of smoking, it might give you some momentary pleasure but it stinks up the room and sooner or later it’ll ruin your cardiovascular system. You can’t argue with a fanatic. You will never make a Creationist or a Birther or a 911 Truther or an Anti-Vaxxer or a moon landing denier see reason (I do, however, admit that in the later case I’m partial to the Aldrin Response, though it’ll probably get you talked about). If these people were capable of reason, they wouldn’t be Creationists, or Birthers, or Truthers, or Anti-Vaxxers, or Deniers in the first place.

Casper: Tired, Since I know you are reading this, I’ll make you a deal. Since you can’t post here, if you make a decent and original argument on B4V, I’ll repost it here.

I’ll do better than that — I’ll do everything I can to ensure that you WILL be able to post here, provided you do it within the established bounds of content and decorum — just like everybody else. As you may recall I’m the guy that got on your case for plagiarism (more than once). I did it because you WERE guilty of it, and I won’t hesitate to call you on it should it happen in the future. But I find it unconscionable if the “powers that be” bar you from posting here simply because of your past discretions, whatever they are. I would hope that everyone concerned with this site appreciates its potential as the dawning of a new day, a place where those on one side or another can interact with those on the other side (however “sides” are conceived) — a place where decorum and the strength of the content of what one says outweigh emphasis on the person saying it, particularly when it comes to ad hominem attacks on said person.

So mitche and Cluster, this is your chance to man up and suck it up. And if you can’t do that then I will respectfully decline to post here. Frankly, I’m appalled that this is even an issue. Also, if you think you need help monitoring things, let me know. Although I don’t reside in one, obviously I’m very well versed in “ivory tower” concepts. Lol!

All of Tired’s posts have been approved and allowed. Mitch and I DO NOT censor. And Rico, I sent you an email inviting you to be a contributing author a little while back which was never acknowledged.

Good, I guess. How about all of Neo’s?

Mitch and I DO NOT censor.

Well maybe you should. Just so you know, I don’t have a problem with censorship, provided it’s fairly applied. Without it, things can get out of hand quickly. The definition of “fairly” is tricky, but not totally out of the question, IMO.

And Rico, I sent you an email inviting you to be a contributing author a little while back which was never acknowledged.

Oh shit, you really did! Sorry, I didn’t see it. Expect an email soon.

Well, I’ll think about it and discuss it with Cluster privately. My problems with him are manifold. The nauseating repetition of the same words and phrases no matter what the topic, the out of hand dismissal of any evidence that refutes his arguments and I do not want to provide a forum for people who are fundamentally disagreeable. Not that there isn’t disagreement here. There is and we welcome it but there is a huge difference between reasoned debate and being an asshole. For similar reasons we won’t tolerate bigots, racists, birthers or people with gun fetish’s. One of goals was to not demand uniformity. They call them circle jerks for a reason. I’ll point out again what Jim Wright said.
But I will say this. GMB had a very negative impression of me and in a few short days he changed his mind. In fact, one of my first topics was a letter of welcome to him.
Diplomacy is an acquired interpersonal skill but it works both ways,

You also had some problems with GMB. Tired might be a different person if doesn’t have the other haters to back him up.
