I want to extend a hand of friendship and a sincere Hello to GMB. I am confident that his points of view will be a valued asset to our burgeoning blog and add immensely to the diversity of the dialog. If I may be so bold as to presume something here, I think both Cluster and myself (Watson too) had grown so weary of the tribalism and the self regulated isolation at B4V that that in part contributed to our collaboration. I have many character flaws and as such I probably wouldn’t make a good Christian but with that said, I have a tendency to react with infuriation over what some people think. Especially if they cocoon themselves from any challenge. It’s a cheap, weak defense against exposure. Maybe it’s my competitive nature or my need to be recognized as being correct that motivates me. Whatever, I’ll spare all my whining self-analysis but I just cannot stand conformation bias which has reached critical mass at B4V. From my 9 yr perspective of participating on that blog; outside the fence or not, I was surprised to learn that the dwindling commenters are also moderators. This explains allot. I will confess that it will give me immense pleasure to see their ranks dwindle even further. For a very long time I thought GMB was one of them . I am glad to be proven wrong and I am sure they are shocked shocked! to discover that not only have they lost Cluster, but GMB as well. I guess my suggested experiment was proven correct. GMB made a comment describing the obvious and the comment was deleted. Attached to it was a stern warning. When there are more prisoners than guards, the facility has a problem. Anyway, welcome aboard and have some fun speaking your mind. Very few rules here. We are open minded and tolerant. Like all good liberals!
